Tenable Security Center

The vulnerabilities of every host in your Tenable Security Center console, read through the API and checked against your tracking.

What the connector does

The connector queries the Tenable Security Center API (formerly Tenable.sc) and reads the cumulative vulnerabilities of every host the account can see. Each run writes a scan to the project, checked against your tracking cases. A console that is not published on the internet can be read from inside your network through on-site collection.

What comes into TechWatchAlert

  • The cumulative vulnerabilities of each host, one row per CVE
  • Hosts, matched with the machines already known in your fleet
  • Unconfirmed fixes and untracked CVEs
  • Run history, with CVEs that appeared and disappeared

Setup

  1. In Tenable Security Center, allow API keys (“Allow API Keys”)
  2. Create a user with the “Auditor” role who sees the repositories to monitor, and generate its API keys
  3. In TechWatchAlert, enter the console address, the access key and the secret key, then run the connection test
