Jamf Pro

The apps on your Jamf Pro-managed Macs, monitored Mac by Mac.

What the connector does

The Jamf Pro connector reads the computer inventory, applications section, with an API client that holds only the “Read Computers” privilege. Each Mac joins the fleet with its apps, and the stack follows installed versions.

What comes into TechWatchAlert

  • Apps installed on each managed Mac, with their version
  • The Mac itself: name, macOS version, model, serial number, Apple Silicon or Intel chip, last user
  • Only products known to CVEs, added to the stack and removed when they disappear

Setup

  1. In Jamf Pro, create a role with only the “Read Computers” privilege and an API client that uses it, then generate its secret
  2. In TechWatchAlert, enter the Jamf Pro address, the API client ID and its secret
  3. Save, then run a first sync
